FIELD: nuclear medicine.
SUBSTANCE: used to obtain medical purity 177Lu isotope. A method for isolating lutetium 177 from irradiated ytterbium, which includes repeated steps: chromatographic separation on a column containing a solid-phase extractant based on 2-ethylhexyl ester of 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid, eluting with a nitric acid solution; concentration on a column containing a solid-phase extractant based on N,N'-tetraoctyldiglycoldiamide, characterized in that at the stages of chromatographic separation, the application of the initial solution and elution of ytterbium is carried out with a solution of nitric acid with a concentration of 1.32 to 1.5 mol/l, and at the stages of concentration, the elution of the concentrate of lutetium and ytterbium is carried out with a solution of ammonium citrate with a concentration of 0.05 to 0.1 mol/l.
EFFECT: increasing the purge factors at the stages of the chromatographic separation of lutetium and ytterbium and increasing the degree of concentration at the concentration stages.
