FIELD: filter structures.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to filter structures intended, as a rule, for use in filtering air, for example, intake air for internal combustion engines, and more specifically relates to filter units that contain a set of components located in a case to provide the desired filtering capacity. An air purifier contains a cartridge of a side loading air filter, containing: a material package made with the possibility of installation in a side hole of the air purifier case, wherein the material package passes along the longitudinal axis between an inlet end and an outlet end, while the material package defines the outer perimeter; a sealing device functionally located relatively to the material package, wherein the sealing device defines an axial sealing surface facing the end for the flow outlet, part of which is located at an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis; the first and the second connecting elements made with the possibility of engagement with a locking mechanism of the air purifier to fix the material package inside the air purifier case. The first connecting element is functionally connected to the material package so that part of the first connecting element passes in the axial direction beyond the end for the flow outlet of the material package. The second connecting element is functionally connected to the material package so that part of the second connecting element passes in the axial direction beyond the end for the flow inlet of the material package. It also contains a closing part, wherein one or both of the first and the second connecting elements are provided on the closing part. The air purifier also contains a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is made with the possibility of movement between an unlocked position, in which the filter cartridge can be installed and removed from the case, and a locked position, in which the filter cartridge is fixed inside the case. The filter cartridge and the locking mechanism contain interacting parts providing the possibility of movement of the locking mechanism from the unlocked position to the locked position only when the filter cartridge is installed in the case. The second segment of the axial sealing surface is deflected away from the first segment of the axial sealing surface in the axial direction so that the second segment of the axial sealing surface is outside the plane or curved surface defined by the first segment of the axial sealing surface. The first and the second sealing devices cover at least part of the outer perimeter of the material package.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides the proper (reliable, required) orientation and sealing of the filter cartridge in the case of the air purifying unit, which contributes to the effective air filtration.
