FIELD: biotechnology; agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: technical entomology. The method involves feeding the mother and working culture of the podisus bug Podisus maculiventris Say. using alternately different types of prey insects - a large wax moth (Galleria mellonella), a cabbage moth (Plutella xylostella), a large flour beetle (Tenebrio molitor), keeping adults and larvae of the second age in a plastic container measuring 30x40x25 cm with tulle in the form of a lid, in which capillary drinkers with water with a volume of 50 ml are placed, an additional container with a volume of 350 ml with hydrogel to maintain optimal air humidity, plastic shelters for shelter and increase in the effective surface area of the container for placing eggs by female bed bugs. When breeding a podizus bug, maintain a temperature of +25±1°C, air humidity - 70-90%, lighting mode: day - 16 hours, night - 8 hours.
EFFECT: breeding the bug podisus maculiventris say.
