A support base for an iron, comprising a base body capable of resting on a surface or work plane, and a multifunctional support member removably associated with the base body, the support member having a first use configuration in which it is associated with the base body and a second use configuration in which which it is removed from the base case.
EFFECT: technical result of the claimed group of inventions is to provide a multifunctional support base for the iron, which can be used to hold the iron both during the normal period of non-use and during cleaning and maintenance operations, as well as improving the cleaning method and the method for removing limescale for the ironing device, which allows you to easily and effectively remove possible lime deposits, thereby extending the life of the device.
