FIELD: medicine; veterinary dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to veterinary dentistry, and is intended for use in the treatment of periodontitis of varying severity in small pets. Against the background of general anesthesia using intraligamentary conduction anesthesia, the tooth is extracted. After the bleeding stops and the formation of a blood clot, the preparation "Vetbiodent" is introduced into the extraction hole, in the form of a powder containing hydroxyopatite of biological origin 75 wt.% and bone tissue collagen 25 wt.% until the well is filled. Then, a suture is applied to the gum above the hole and kept for 14 days until the tissue is restored. After that, the suture is removed, and Metrogyl Denta gel is applied to the gum in the area of the sutures once daily day for 14 days.

EFFECT: due to medical augmentation of bone tissue the method allows to reduce the period of stay in the clinic and restore the lost bone tissue in full.
