FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to veterinary dentistry, and can be used in treating periodontitis in cats and dogs. Method involves oral sanation and introduction of an antiseptic preparation. After oral cavity sanation, which includes supragingival and subgingival ultrasonic scaling and crown polishing, gingiva and parodontal pockets are treated with antiseptic preparation "VetAsept" in the form of gel. Preparation is applied once day for 25-30 days to achieve a clinical effect.
EFFECT: using the invention enables improving the dynamics of the clinical findings of the local inflammatory process consisting in reducing and eliminating gingival redness, swelling and oral tissue soreness, as well as eliminating the bad breath.
