FIELD: aircraft structures.
SUBSTANCE: heat-strength tests of aircraft structures on testing machines with simultaneous reproduction of mechanical and thermal effects. The proposed method for performing heat-strength tests on mechanical testing machines includes the following operations. The test object is installed in the grips of the testing machine and enclosed in a closed volume formed by cloth curtains or a light casing. The resulting volume is blown with a gaseous heat or coolant through hoses from a mobile electric heater or cooler. When the object reaches the temperature specified by the test program, the loading system is turned on and heat-strength tests are completed when the specified load is reached.
EFFECT: expanding the functionality of the method for testing the strength of aircraft structures of any size in a wide temperature range using mechanical testing machines. Equipping mechanical testing machines with universal devices - a mobile cooler and an electric heater - allows to obtain one device per machine room with several dozen machines and ensure the operation of mechanical machines in heat-strength testing modes.
