FIELD: polymer coatings.
SUBSTANCE: insulating polymer coatings, an electrical steel sheet coating composition, an electrical steel sheet, a laminated core and a rotating electric machine using a coating composition for an electrical steel sheet. The electrical steel sheet used for the laminated core is an electrical steel sheet with an insulating coating on the surface of a base steel sheet, the insulating coating being applied by an electrical steel sheet coating composition. The coating composition for electrical steel sheet contains an epoxy resin, a first hardener including an alkylphenol, and a second hardener including any one or both of a phenol resole resin and a phenol novolac resin in specific proportions.
EFFECT: coating composition for an electrical steel sheet, which allows to achieve both the magnetic property of the laminated core and heat resistance, maintaining the adhesion strength between electrical steel sheets even at high temperature during driving.
