SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of wood-mineral bulk materials in the form of granules intended for use as backfill thermal insulation, as well as a component of lightweight concrete or artificial stones. The method for obtaining wood-mineral material in the form of granules includes mixing in a coating pan with a rotation frequency of 5 to 30 rpm particles of crushed wood and a pre-prepared binder in the form of a mixture consisting of sodium liquid glass with a modulus of 2.7 to 3.3 and sawing waste of gabbro-dolerite to form a protective inorganic coating on their surface, sprinkling of particles of chopped wood treated with the specified binder with air-dry sawing waste of gabbro-dolerite, while the coating container is rotated at a frequency of 26-32 revolutions per minute. After sprinkling with air dry said waste, a ten percent aqueous solution of calcium chloride is added to the coating container in an amount from 1/50 to 1/20 of the mass of liquid glass, continuous mixing is carried out for two to seven minutes until the protective coating is cured. Prepared granules are subjected to heating by supplying warm air. At the same time, the mass fraction in the mixture of the specified liquid glass is from 30 to 70%, sawing waste of gabbro-dolerite is from 30 to 70%.

EFFECT: reduced time and energy costs for the implementation of the method for obtaining wood-mineral material in the form of granules.
