FIELD: engineering of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to modified hydroxypropylmethylcellulose for reinforced adhesive for ceramic tiles, as well as a method for its preparation and use. This modified hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is derived from the following starting materials in wt.%: 54%-94% hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, 5%-40% starch ester, 0.5%-3% dispersant and 0.5%-3% rheological agent. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is obtained from cellulose powder, granulated caustic soda, liquid caustic soda, chloromethane and propylene oxide in a mass ratio of 1: (0.01-1.0): (0.02-2.1): (0.50-2.0): (0.01-1.5). The method for producing modified hydroxypropyl methylcellulose includes the following steps: weighing the starting materials; mixing cellulose powder, granulated caustic soda, liquid caustic soda, chloromethane and propylene oxide, and carrying out esterification reaction, neutralization, washing, centrifugation, drying and grinding to obtain hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; mixing and stirring hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, starch ether, dispersant and rheological agent to obtain modified hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Modified hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is used to produce reinforced ceramic tile adhesive. The weight percentage of modified hydroxypropylmethylcellulose in reinforced ceramic tile adhesive is 0.2%-0.5%.
EFFECT: development of modified hydroxypropylmethylcellulose for reinforced adhesive for ceramic tiles, improving slip resistance and adhesive tensile strength of adhesive for ceramic tiles.
