FIELD: furniture industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to devices for fastening the cover or upholstery of upholstered furniture. The unit for fastening cover to an upholstered furniture element contains an upholstered furniture element with a groove formed by the first, second and end parts connected to each other, the end part is connected to the first and the second parts forming the groove, as well as a cover, on the edge of which there is a polymer strip placed in the groove of the upholstered furniture element. The cover covers the edge of the first part, which is remote from the end part and forms the groove, from the outside. On the upholstered furniture, from the side of the edge of the first part of the upholstered furniture element, which forms the groove, a latch is installed in form of a rigid panel, preventing the edge of the cover with the strip from coming out of the groove of the upholstered furniture element. The distance from the latch to the edge of the first part of the upholstered furniture element that forms the groove, covered by the cover, is in the range from the thickness of the cover material to the width of the polymer strip. The latch is installed on upholstered furniture with the possibility of detachment.
EFFECT: providing increased reliability of fastening the cover to an upholstered furniture element and increasing the service life of upholstered furniture.
