FIELD: furniture industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the furniture industry and can be used in manufacture of upholstered furniture with a cover made of fabric or leather materials. Device for fastening the cover of upholstered furniture, used for carrying out the method of the upholstered furniture cover fastening, in one embodiment, comprises a frame with a surface to be covered with the cover, made with a groove, as well as a fixing element, used for fastening in the frame groove and made in the form of a bar attached to the cover edge. Frame groove in different embodiments can be formed both by means of two parallel flat surfaces perpendicular to the surface to be covered with the cover, and due to two flat surfaces made at an angle to each other. Also, in one embodiment, a constriction is provided in the upholstered furniture frame groove to lock the fixing element.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the reliability and durability of the functioning of upholstered furniture with a cover, which is provided by increasing the contact surface area when the cover is fixed and the corresponding dimensions of the fixing element.
