FIELD: furniture industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the furniture industry, namely to a fastening unit of upholstery material (5) to a metal frame (1) of upholstered furniture. The invention can be used for fixing a covering made of furniture fabric or leather on the frame of a sofa or armchair. The unit includes a tubular profile (2) of the frame, having a main part (7) of a rectangular cross-section and a flat protruding part (8) and an upholstery fastening element (6), which is made of sheet polymer material and includes a bent part (9) made with the possibility of engagement with the protruding part (8) of the frame element, and a flat part (10) adapted to be attached to the upholstery (5). In the tubular profile, the protruding part (8) is formed by two parallel sections of the pipe wall, one of which is a continuation of the side of the main part (7). In this case, the flat part (10) of the fastening element (6) is made of a softer polymer material in relation to the material of the bent part (9).

EFFECT: simplification of the furniture production process, including both the production and assembly of a metal frame, as well as the fastening of fabric upholstery to it.
