FIELD: furniture production. SUBSTANCE: transformable apparatus has immovable base, movable supporting members, transformation mechanism, and soft members. Immovable base has back support and arm rest supports. Transformation mechanism is made in the form of pivot joints for movable supporting members and spring connected with its one end to internal surface of arm rest support and attached with its other end to movable supporting member closest to back support in assembled state. Spring attachment member is positioned in the vicinity of pivot joint, which is disposed closer to back and allows movable supporting member closest to back support in assembled state to be shifted. In assembled state, spring attachment site is positioned lower than pivot joint and spring is not strained. Furniture is assembled and fixed in such state by means of retaining mechanism comprising planks disposed on side end surfaces of movable supporting member-seat, which may be rolled in forward direction. Each of said planks is made in the form of beveled angled protrusion and has inclined surface and pin receiving slot, which are positioned on internal surfaces of arm rest support. So, at the initial stage of transformation process, movable supporting members, namely, supporting member closest to seat support and supporting member positioned between above supporting member and retractable movable supporting member- seat, are moved to horizontal position and simultaneously movable supporting member closest to back support is rotated in assembled state around pivot joint to result in spring resetting. Spring and retaining member are arranged at each of two sides of movable supporting members. Arm rests are attached to arm rest supports. Each of movable supporting members is made in the form of rectangular frame with racks arranged in parallel with unfolding direction. Mat fastening clips are fixed to frame carcass. Arm rests are interconnected through wooden cylinder making additional head support during lying. Linen box is made in the form of container with fabric walls and plywood bottom and is disposed inside movable supporting member-seat, which is equipped with roller-type wheels. Mat covering is detachably fastened at points of attachment of racks to rectangular frame of each movable supporting member. Mat covering has polyurethane foam base located inside casing and stitched over casing surface. EFFECT: simplified manufacture, wider operational capabilities and convenient use. 5 cl, 3 dwg
