FIELD: automatic devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic devices for the disposal of used PET containers, in particular bottles, configured for its appropriate sorting. The machine for receiving plastic containers, pressing and sorting them by color, enclosed in a housing, comprises a receiving unit; a container press, comprising a container piercing mechanism and a container pressing mechanism; mechanism for transporting containers and sorting them by color; a control unit, which is configured to control the acceptance of containers by weight and color, control the container piercing mechanism and the container pressing mechanism, control the mechanism for transporting containers, sort them by color when unloading them into storage containers corresponding to the color, and control the unloading of filled containers. The press comprises a pressing chamber, a crank mechanism for pressing containers and a crank mechanism for piercing containers, operating upon signals from the control unit. The crank piercing mechanism comprises knives fixed on the connecting rod of the piercing mechanism, and said connecting rod is pivotally connected to the movable pressing wall of the chamber. The crank mechanism for pressing and the crank mechanism for piercing are configured for extending the knives of the piercing mechanism before the extension of the movable pressing wall of the pressing mechanism.

EFFECT: creating an automatic machine for receiving plastic containers, pressing and sorting them by colour when increasing productivity and reducing the labour intensity of maintenance due to piercing and compacting the received containers with an increase in the density of filling storage containers.
