SUBSTANCE: invention is related to propulsion for river vessels, mainly for shallow rivers. The towing vessel contains a displacement body, an internal combustion engine with an electric generator and a propulsion unit. The engine is made in form of two side-by-side annular garlands, hollow balls, hingedly connected and containing a rotational drive mechanism inside. The axes of the balls are located outside their shell and interact with current-transmitting electric buses.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the propulsion is achieved.
