Essence: in the method based on measuring the time interval between the emitted and received pulses of the laser rangefinder, converted into a radio signal, the correlation function of the received probing signal is calculated using the reference signal recorded during the transmission of the probing signal, converted for recording into a pulse signal, previously before the specified the calculation is used to filter the received and recorded signals, to compensate for the Doppler frequency shift, a multiplicative transformation of the frequency spectrum of the signals is performed, while the measured distance is determined by the position of the maximum of the correlation function on the time axis. As a probing signal of a laser range finder, a pulse signal with a variable pulse repetition period or with a variable pulse repetition duration is used.

EFFECT: increasing the range of measuring the speed of an object when measuring the distance to an object using a laser rangefinder.
