FIELD: marine seismic exploration.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the location of nodes in a dense acoustic network of transceiver devices by time delays of signals emitted and received by them in a limited time interval. According to the claimed solution, original methods of generating and detecting acoustic signals in conditions of a large number of simultaneously operating transponders are used, which makes it possible to simultaneously measure a greater number of distances between network nodes without severe restrictions on time windows. Another difference from analogues is the use of an effective method for solving the optimization problem of the spatial position of the transponder network based on the measured distances between them based on minimizing the residual functional with additional regularization conditions.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and stability of determining the spatial position of towed streamers during seismic surveys, which ultimately makes it possible to obtain data on the structure of the seabed with a higher resolution.
