FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction ceramics and can be used in production of facade cladding and heat-insulating ceramics: tiles, slabs, blocks and bricks. Technical result is achieved by using the composition at the following ratio of components, wt%: stiff clay from 60 to 67; boric acid from 3 to 5.0; scrap sheet window glass from 20 to 30; tripoli of 5.0 to 10. Samples of ceramics were obtained by semi-dry pressing at raw mix moisture content of 8 wt%, pressing pressure of 15 MPa and firing temperature of 1,050 °C. Introduction of proposed amount of scrap glass and boric acid into composition of mass is sufficient to reduce temperature of liquid-phase sintering of composition containing tripoli, and self-glazing of articles, which eliminates need to apply glaze.
EFFECT: high compression strength of ceramic articles while simultaneously reducing power consumption of production and reducing the production cycle.
