FIELD: electronic protection of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: parked vehicle impact protection method includes using a threshold parameter analyzer to determine acceptable combinations of acceleration, distance, and speed that are not considered risky. All data is integrated into a reference frame, to which the risk factor (FR) equation is applied, which determines how dangerous an approach maneuver is at a given moment, and, in case of exceeding the threshold reference frame, the threshold parameter analyzer is configured to activate light signals and sound signal via switch. The method includes determining a distinction between a vehicle and a pedestrian when determining an approaching object. The method includes using proximity sensor signals from ultrasonic and/or optical sensors to determine if an approaching object is a pedestrian.
EFFECT: ensuring protection of the vehicle from impacts when the vehicle is parked.
