SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a parking barrier warning system. Parking barrier warning system comprises motion detection component, presence detection component and notification component. Motion detection component is configured to determine whether vehicle or driver leaves or is prepared to leave parking space. Availability detection component is configured to determine, on the basis of the movement history database, whether the parking barrier is present in the parking space, wherein the presence determining component determines whether the parking barrier is present in response to the determination that the vehicle or driver is leaving or preparing to leave the parking space. Notification component is configured to provide indication of presence of parking barrier driver or automated vehicle driving system.

EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
