FIELD: oil and gas geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the strength properties of rocks that make up the section of the drilled well. Essence: before testing, the slurry sample, washed and dried to an air-dry state, is sieved and particles of a representative grain size are selected for testing. The compressive strength properties of rocks are measured on at least 40 particles from each sample, and if the sludge sample is represented by a mixture of different lithotypes, then the number of measurements increases to 50, and the number of measurements on particles from each lithotype is proportional to its percentage in the sample. The test specimen is placed on a hard rigid horizontal level surface with the durometer in a vertical position. The sample is loaded through the durometer indenter continuously and uniformly until the complete destruction of the test sample at a speed of 5-10 N/s. Statistical processing of test results is carried out to eliminate possible errors, the arithmetic mean value of the tensile strength in uniaxial compression, standard deviation (σ) and coefficient of variation (V), arithmetic mean are calculated while processing the results of testing sludge samples for strength. A check is performed to eliminate possible errors remaining after the analysis of experimental data.
EFFECT: increase in the volume and quality of geological information about the physical and mechanical properties of the rocks that make up the mine working.
