FIELD: tobacco products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the assessing the quality of tobacco products and relates to a method for using spectroscopic data to determine the organoleptic characteristics of mainstream cigarette smoke. The method includes enhancing spectroscopic data of mainstream cigarette smoke from multiple cigarettes, extracting spectral features of the surface layer, and obtaining organoleptic characteristics of the surface layer. In addition, the method includes extracting deep layer spatial features from spectroscopic data, deriving deep layer sensory characteristics from the spectroscopic data from which the deep layer spatial features are extracted, and deep layer spatial features. Based on the organoleptic characteristics of the superficial and deep layers, generalized results regarding organoleptic characteristics are obtained.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency, reliability and reliability of the organoleptic evaluation of cigarette smoke.
