SUBSTANCE: methods for producing hydrogen-containing gas mixtures. Method is described for producing a hydrogen-containing gas mixture using a device that includes a heating pipe, in which a recovery acceleration element is located, and a heating part, including a heating device that heats the heating pipe, the method includes: the first process, including: creating an inflow of raw water into the heating pipe and heating of flowing raw water in order to obtain water vapour; heating the resulting water vapour to a temperature of from 500°C to 800°C; bringing the heated water vapour into contact with a recovery accelerating element that is heated in the same manner as raw water to reduce the water vapour and produce hydrogen gas; and a second process, including: diluting the hydrogen gas obtained in the first process to obtain a hydrogen-containing gas mixture, the concentration of hydrogen gas in which is from 500 ppm to 20,000 ppm, where the reduction acceleration element includes: the first metal element, made of stainless steel and including a cylindrical part, from both ends of which, respectively, the rods are extended; and a plurality of second metal elements made of steel material and placed in a cylindrical part in the form of a bundle.

EFFECT: obtaining a hydrogen-containing gas mixture, which makes it possible to achieve effective recovery.
