FIELD: cooling of casting machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling a secondary cooling device for a continuous casting machine for metal products. The secondary cooling device (12) comprises a plurality of cooling devices (17) equipped with nozzles, each nozzle is provided with supply holes, from which coolant (L) is supplied to the metal product (P) each time, in accordance with the needs for uniform cooling.
EFFECT: improvement of the control method for the secondary cooling device of the continuous casting machine for metal products, which allows to adjust the energy consumption for each required value of water consumption.
