FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to automatic control over production of continuously-cast blanks with homogeneous microstructure meant for fabrication of rolled high-strength metal articles. Ingot cooling is performed in three lines. These include, first, cooling path selection line proceeding from the initial teeming conditions including the cooling scenarios associative base. Second, control decision making unit and, third, simulation unit. Fourth, line for control over cooling by measured heat removal factors and the ingot surface temperature. Said control line consists of the advance control unit, simulation unit and the set of secondary cooling system elements ACS. Fifth, the line for identification of cooling paths by the slab quality analysis results composed by the identification unit, defects identification and cooling scenarios associative base system.
EFFECT: decreased amount of rolled stock rejects, better production ecology, longer life of equipment.
