FIELD: hydrodynamics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a ship equipped with a hydrodynamic channelling nozzle installed on its bow to control the water flow when the ship is moving. Proposed is a ship equipped with a hydrodynamic flow control channelling nozzle installed on the bow, consisting of a horizontal wall section (2) extending from each side of the centre line of the bow of the vessel (8), at least one additional horizontal wall section (1), located above the horizontal wall section (2) in the waterline region and adapted to control surface waves, and a pair of side wall sections (5) attached to each end of the horizontal wall sections (1) and (2) and extending upward from each side of the bow, forming thus, in combination with the horizontal wall sections (1) and (2), a channelling nozzle closed in a circle, the flow inside of which is completely separated from the flow outside the nozzle, and this separation leads to a decrease in wave formation resistance and the required rated power and fuel consumption to propel the vessel. Options are proposed with one additional horizontal wall section (3) or two wall sections (3, 4) between the horizontal wall sections (1) and (2), operating additionally or as an alternative in the conditions of an unloaded or loaded state of the vessel.
EFFECT: decrease in wave formation resistance and the required rated power and fuel consumption to propel the vessel.
