A method for the operation of a system for monitoring the parameters of compressed gas equipment (CGE) and accounting for the fuel consumption of a vehicle engine running on gas or gas and liquid fuels is proposed, which consists in measuring the pressure, temperature and gas level in CGE cylinders, as well as monitoring the geometry and position at any time of the gas cylinder, monitoring the state of the gas shut-off equipment and contamination of the gas cylinders, monitoring the readings from the fuel consumption meters, including natural gas, after which the information obtained is stored, transmitted, processed and analysed. Information about the quality of exhaust gases, namely the composition of combustion products that determine the composition of the combustible mixture is received, stored, transmitted, processed and analysed. Software is used to implement the processes of collecting, storing, processing and analysing information, on the basis of this analysis, information is obtained on the state of CGE and the fuel consumption of the vehicle engine.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the presentation of data on the operation of the vehicle, its engine, the CGE system and other auxiliary systems.
