FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: used in the production of forgings from steels of the austenitic class. Steel is smelted and poured with a siphon or from above at a speed of 2-7 t/min. The resulting ingot is heated in a furnace at a temperature of 1190± 20°C with a delay determined from the calculation τ=0.9-1.4 min per mm of average diameter in the section of the ingot. The heated ingot is subjected to forging to obtain a forging blank. After the first removal, the forging forging blank is heated in a furnace at a temperature of 1190±20°C with a delay τ=0.9-2 min per mm of average diameter in the forging section. The total specific heating time of the ingot and forging should not be less than 2.5 min/mm section. Next, the final forging process is carried out, followed by heat treatment, which is used as austenitisation.
EFFECT: obtaining large-sized forging blanks without the formation of ring cracks on the surface.
