FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and thermal treatment of critical forgings from flock-sensitive steels and can be used in metallurgy and machine-building industries in production of forgings from ingots. Method for thermomechanical processing of large forged pieces from ingots of flock-sensitive steels, including forging ingot-billet in several passes to final dimensions of forging with heating for forging and cooling after it, at that, in one of the intermediate forging passes, a round billet is heated to the forging temperature and its broaching to a circle of a smaller diameter in flat or combined strikers with cuts in a circle and reduction of less than 30% relative to the billet diameter, after which, the billet obtained after broaching is cooled to a temperature of more than 570 °C, temperature equalization over the section and holding at this temperature for at least 30 minutes. And after cooling the billet obtained after broaching on a circle to a temperature of more than 570 °C, equalizing the temperature over the section and holding it at this temperature for at least 30 minutes, the billet is heated to forging temperature and forged to final dimensions of the forged piece.
EFFECT: higher quality, reliability and durability of products.
