FIELD: water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pretreatment of sea water before desalination in adiabatic multi-stage desalter by its hydrodynamic cavitation treatment and activation by atmospheric air. Initial sea water is supplied through tangential nozzles into internal part of hydrodynamic cavitation device, and due to formed rarefaction atmospheric air is introduced into it with formation of small air bubbles, which intensifies oxidation of chemical compounds contained in sea water, primarily sodium chloride and magnesium chloride. Thereafter, solid components are removed from the mechanical filter. Then purified sea water is supplied to adiabatic multi-stage distiller (evaporator).

EFFECT: method of preliminary preparation of sea water with its purification before clarification.
