SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction of temporary bridges and can be used in the construction of sofa-type abutments of temporary road bridges. The reinforced soil cone of the abutment of a temporary bridge with a retaining wall of gabions consists of a soil massif divided by height into layers by reinforcing panels located in front of the cone of the retaining wall of box-shaped gabions and laid on a rip-rap close to the retaining wall of mattress-kidding gabions. All gabions and panels reinforcing the cone are made of chain-link mesh. The ends of the reinforcing panels from the side of the river are pinched between box-shaped gabions and connected to the latter with a knitting wire. The rip-rap arranged along the retaining wall is covered with netting panels, which are connected by wire to the bottoms of the mattress-kidding and box-shaped gabions of the lower row of the retaining wall.

EFFECT: increased stability of the bridge against water washout.
