FIELD: gas cleaning.
SUBSTANCE: manufacture of protective equipment and devices for cleaning gaseous media in the nuclear and space industries of the national economy. The absorption device includes external and internal hollow sections made of a gas-permeable material with individual solid absorbers placed in them based on adsorption and catalytic materials, which selectively absorb water, organic compounds and hydrogen. The gas-permeable sections are made of fiberglass and are arranged in series in the direction of movement of the gas medium to be cleaned, first the outer section with an individual absorber made of active carbon with a specific surface area of at least 600 m2/g, which selectively absorbs water vapor and organic compounds. Then the inner section with an absorber based on “Sibunit”, on the surface of which a layer of reduced metallic palladium with a mass fraction from 0.5 to 1.0% is deposited, which selectively absorbs hydrogen during the initiation of a low-temperature catalytic reaction.
EFFECT: improvement in the adsorption characteristics of absorbers with respect to non-polar organic compounds while ensuring compactness and reducing its cost.
