FIELD: safe storage of containers.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the safe storage of containers with reactive, flammable and explosive materials and relates to methods for forming an oxygen-containing gas environment with reactive materials stored in it. The invention includes placing a reactive material with a protective oxide film formed on its surface and functional materials into a sealed container in the form of a multicomponent selective adsorbent containing a palladium catalyst that initiates the reaction of the interaction of hydrogen and oxygen in a gaseous medium with the formation of water vapour, potassium superoxide as a source of oxygen, silica gel for absorbing excess water vapour, characterized in that after sealing the container with the formed gaseous medium and with chemically active materials stored in it and a multicomponent selective adsorbent. The gaseous medium is monitored online with constant sampling through a hermetic container valve at multiple specified time intervals with the construction of graphs of the dependence of the concentrations of oxygen, hydrogen, water vapour on time. The concentrations of gaseous components are determined by the gas chromatographic method, and the quantitative determination of water vapour is carried out by means of sensors that simultaneously record both relative humidity and temperature, and if the concentrations of the determined components of the gaseous medium reach critical values, the sealed container is depressurized and the functional materials are reloaded.
EFFECT: constancy of the given composition of the formed gaseous medium, maintaining the integrity of the oxide film on the surface of reactive materials.
