FIELD: technical physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to specimens of layered composite materials for tensile testing in the direction of the thickness of the specimen and can be used to determine the elastic and strength characteristics of layered composite materials. The specimen is a plate that includes gripping parts and a working part located between them. The gripping parts are made in the form of corresponding parallel beams, the axes of which are perpendicular to the axis of the working part of the specimen. One end of each of the beams is rigidly connected to the corresponding end of the working part of the specimen, the free ends of the beams are designed to interact with the loading device, and the specimen is provided with a support placed between the beams in their middle part and designed to interact with the latter.
EFFECT: creating a specimen from layered composite materials for tensile tests in the direction of the specimen thickness, which ensures the accuracy of determining the mechanical characteristics of layered composite materials in a plane stress state under high-temperature tests due to the possibility of manufacturing sample elements from a homogeneous layered composite material.
