FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of optic neuritis in Devic optomyelitis. The method includes administering parabulbar injections of dexamethasone at a dosage of 0.5 ml, intravenous piracetam at a dosage of 5.0 ml and actovegin intramuscularly at a dosage of 2.0 ml for 10 days. One session per day of transcranial magnetic stimulation is carried out, affecting the visual analyzer in four projection zones of the visual analyzer in sequence: the area of projections of the optic nerve, chiasm, subcortical centers and cortex of the visual analyzer, 5 minutes for each zone, with the following magnetic field parameters: tension 2 T, modulation frequency 1 Hz. And one session a day of electrical stimulation of the optic nerve with negative electrical impulses to the temporal regions for 5 minutes.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in visual functions in a patient with optic neuritis with Devik optomyelitis, due to active anti-inflammatory, nootropic and neuroregenerative therapy; restoring the conduction of rhythmic excitation along the optic nerve and affecting the regulatory and regenerative processes in the visual analyzer, improving the function of the cell membranes of the nerve fibers of the optic nerve, due to an increase in the synthesis of collagen and protein during electrical stimulation; a positive effect on various links in the pathogenesis of the disease, a protective effect in relation to the adverse effects on the body of various external influences during transcutaneous electromagnetic stimulation.
