FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of optic nerve atrophy in the post-COVID period. The method implies complex treatment. Within 10 days, Emoxipin 0.5 ml is administered parabulbarly once a day, Citicoline 1.0 ml and Milgamma 1 ml intramuscularly, and Actovegin 5.0 ml intravenously. From the first day of treatment, 10 sessions of magnetotherapy are performed, one session per day, sequentially for each of the three projection zones of the visual analyzer: the eyeball, the temporal and occipital regions, in reverse mode, the reversal time is 10 seconds, with a frequency of 50 Hz for 15 minutes, and also 10 sessions of transcutaneous electrical stimulation of the optic nerve, by applying electrodes to the temporal region on the right and left, acting with a pulsed current of 0.5 mA for 10 minutes.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase visual functions in patients in the post-COVID period due to complex therapy, and restoration of optic nerve conduction.
