FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: used for the treatment of acute optic neuropathy in drusen of the optic disc (OD). To do this, from the first day of treatment, Diprospan 0.5 ml intramuscularly, Actovegin 40 mg/ml 2.0 ml intramuscularly, Dexamethasone 0.4% 1 ml parabulbar, Piracetam 200 mg/ml 5 ml intravenously, Mexidol 50 mg/ml 2 ml intramuscularly are administered for 10 days. From the first day of treatment, 10 sessions of physiotherapy are carried out, including the daily use of magnetic therapy sequentially on each of the two projection zones of the visual analyzer: the eyeball and temporal areas, in reverse mode, reverse time is 10 seconds, with a frequency of 50 Hz for 15 minutes. From the first day of treatment, 10 sessions of nasal electrophoresis are carried out, 1 session per day, nasally with Taufon 1% for 15 minutes with automatic intermediate switching off the electric current for 2 minutes every 5 minutes of operation.
EFFECT: increase in visual functions in this category of patients by reducing swelling of the optic disc and restoring the conductivity of the optic nerve during complex therapy.
