SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for diagnosing the surface of an aircraft airframe using an unmanned aerial vehicle. To carry out diagnostics, an unmanned aerial vehicle is launched from an equipped place located in close proximity to the aircraft to be diagnosed. Using the operator's mobile device, which indicates the type of aircraft, registration number and aircraft parking location; the flight path of the unmanned aerial vehicle is built according to the procedure for inspecting the aircraft, prescribed in the technical documentation by the developer of the aircraft. During the flight, damage is recognized using a high-resolution camera with a polarizing light filter installed on it, and fixed on a three-stage suspension using a silicone anti-vibration shelf. Next, video fixation of the damage is carried out, information about which is transmitted to a single-board computer of an unmanned aerial vehicle, with the help of which defects are recognized. The received information is transferred to the operator's mobile device and entered into a single database.

EFFECT: improvement of the quality of diagnostics, reduction of time for its implementation.
