SUBSTANCE: transition metal compound represented by formula 1, wherein M is a transition metal of group 4 of the periodic table; A is C or Si; Ar is substituted aryl and the aryl substituent is one or more groups selected from (C1-C20)alkyl, (C3-C20)cycloalkyl, (C6-C20)aryl, and (C6-C20)aryl(C1-C20) alkyl, and substituted aryl of Ar has 14 or more carbon atoms; R is (C1-C20) alkyl, (C1-C20) alkoxy, (C6-C20) aryl, or (C6-C20) aryloxy; R1-R4 each independently represents hydrogen or (C1-C20)alkyl; R11-R18 each independently represents hydrogen; R21 and R22 each independently represents (C6-C20)aryl; and alkyl, alkoxy, aryl and aryloxy from R, and aryl from R21 and R22 may be further substituted with one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of (C1-C20) alkyl, (C3-C20) cycloalkyl, (C6 -C20)aryl and (C6-C20)aryl(C1-C20)alkyl. A catalytic composition and a method for producing an olefin polymer using this catalytic composition are also provided.
EFFECT: greatly improved solubility in a non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent by introducing a controlled specific functional group, so that the catalytic activity is high and maintained without deterioration during solution polymerization, and thus the compound can be used in the preparation of an olefin polymer, with excellent physical properties.
