FIELD: medicine; cardiovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in operations on the arteries of the lower extremities in patients with chronic arterial insufficiency (CHAN) of severity 3–4 according to Fontaine with atherosclerosis of the popliteal, tibial and plantar segments with compromised blood flow in the popliteal artery and the impossibility of performing a conventional tibial bypass. An open longitudinal endarterectomy is performed from the selected area of the popliteal artery and collateral branches of the knee joint until a satisfactory antegrade blood flow is obtained, followed by conventional femoral-tibial bypass.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases the primary patency of vascular grafts after femoral-tibial bypass.
