METHOD FOR REAGENT REGENERATION OF ELUATES OF SODIUM-CATION EXCHANGE FILTERS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B01J49/00 C02F1/42 C02F1/58

Abstract RU 2799186 C1

FIELD: water conditioning.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a procedure for the reagent treatment of waste solutions for the regeneration of sodium-cation exchange filters in softening processes in water conditioning for thermal power engineering, industrial enterprises and household purposes. The method includes averaging the eluate while stirring, introducing calcium hydroxide in the form of 5% milk of lime with simultaneous stirring in the first stage, introducing sodium carbonate with simultaneous stirring in the second stage, settling the solution with separation of the precipitate, and introducing a concentrated solution of sodium chloride into the clarified eluate with bringing the concentration of sodium chloride in it to 8%. When averaging, the eluate is heated to 30-40°C while holding at this temperature during the entire softening process. The mixing time for dosing is 5 minutes. The eluate is clarified step by step for 40 minutes after mixing at the dosage of the appropriate reagent. At the second stage, together with sodium carbonate, the dehydrated and crushed sludge from the previous eluate regeneration cycle is introduced into the eluate in an amount that refers to the calculated amount of calcium carbonate formed in the range from 1:60 to 1:20.

EFFECT: reducing the duration of the eluate regeneration process while maintaining high degrees of softening.
