FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method (embodiments) for obtaining a composition based on a mixture of monomers containing 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) and terephthalic acid (TPA) used as monomers for polymer synthesis. The method includes bringing the oxidation feedstock into contact with oxygen and an oxidation catalyst to obtain a composition based on a mixture of monomers, where the oxidation feedstock is a dehydration product of one or more carbohydrates having a 6-carbon sugar link and paraxylene.
EFFECT: method for the co-oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) and its derivatives with paraxylene with increased productivity and stability, as well as the possibility of re-equipping existing monomer production facilities with the provision of joint processing of carbohydrate dehydration products.
