FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining a composition based on a mixture of monomers containing 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) and terephthalic acid (TPA). The method includes the dehydration of one or more six-carbon carbohydrates to obtain furan compounds forming FDCA, and the joint supply of these compounds and para-xylene to an oxygen oxidation reactor in the presence of an oxidation catalyst containing cobalt and (or) manganese compounds.
EFFECT: method for co-processing in the form of acid dehydration of renewable hexoses or hexosans to obtain 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), further co-catalytic oxidation of HMF and fossil raw materials in the form of p-xylene to obtain a composition of a mixture of monomers containing FDCA and TPA, reducing production energy costs in such joint processing, as well as reducing the poisoning of the catalytic system by side humins.
