FIELD: seals.

SUBSTANCE: device for extracting sealing elements from a wellhead stuffing box is claimed. The device includes a split tube with a longitudinal groove for the wellhead rod with a distance between the side edges of the groove greater than the diameter of the rod, with a hook at the lower end and a holder in the form of a ring with handles. The handles are symmetrically mounted on the outside. As a hook at the lower end, at least two longitudinal teeth pointed downwards and bent at an angle $$25°-30°$$ inwards are used and spaced evenly around the perimeter with horizontal annular surfaces between them. The annular surfaces are configured for bearing on the sealing elements from above. Upper and lower thickenings are made along the perimeter at the top and in the middle part outside the tube. A longitudinal protrusion is made from the upper edge of the tube to the lower thickening. The holder ring is collapsible, consisting of two identical halves, connected with the possibility of covering the tube with sliding and equipped with a longitudinal internal groove for the longitudinal protrusion of the tube. The ring is installed between the upper and lower thickenings located on the annular surface of the split tube to ensure the transfer of axial force when the ring hits the lower thickening to break the sealing element from the wellhead stuffing box.

EFFECT: creation of a simple and reliable design of a device for extracting sealing elements from a wellhead stuffing box.
