ELEVATOR FOR PACKING OF CASING-HEAD STUFFING BOX Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry with use of sucker-rod pumping units, particularly, maintenance of casing-head stuffing box. SUBSTANCE: for packing of casing-head stuffing box, elevator is provided with striker made in the form of cylindrical bar with opened longitudinal mouth and provided with a pair of side handles located at the same level, opposite to each other. Elevator consists of the body in the form of cylindrical bushing with opened longitudinal mouth for polished rod and internal cavity with upper conical and lower installation parts. Said parts are made in compliance with a diameter of stuffing box cavity and outer diameter of its body, respectively. Elevator body has a handle located on side opposite to longitudinal mouth which, on length of body upper conical part, has a door hinged from one side, and from other side is engageable with springy fixing device. Installed on hinge is lever rigidly connected with the door for engagement with polished rod in the door closing. Opened longitudinal mouth of cylindrical bar is made for polished rod. EFFECT: higher labor productivity in servicing of casing-head stuffing box of oil-gas producing wells. 3 dwg
