FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: device for servicing the wellhead seal of an oil and gas production well. The device for removing sealing elements from the wellhead seal includes a split pipe with a longitudinal groove for the wellhead rod and a hook at the lower end. Two handles are fixed radially and in different directions on the outer surface of the pipe. A cylindrical hollow body with a longitudinal groove for the wellhead rod is installed outside the pipe, on both sides of which there are through screw grooves open at the top for the pipe handles. The hook at the lower end of the pipe is made in the form of two diametrically opposite needles, pointed towards the bottom, 2–3 cm long, bent towards the axis of the pipe at an angle of 30–40°. The bottom of the body is equipped with a connection element with the wellhead seal.

EFFECT: rotation of the device due to decomposition of forces in the inclined bore of the housing during descent or ascent of the split pipe, creating only longitudinal force, while eliminating the possibility of shearing the seal.
