FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an inhaler for dry powders and a control device that may be attached in a removable manner to the inhaler. The inhaler with a control device comprises a mouthpiece and a housing configured to accommodate a blister pack containing blisters. The blister or group of blisters is configured to provide a dose of a powder drug for inhalation. The blister pack has non-numeric indication marks that can be encoded with an individual unique number corresponding to each dose. The inhaler is made with the possibility of installing a control device in a removable way. The control device comprises at least one sensor configured to read a non-digital indication character, and a processor and a memory device configured to process and/or store information read by the sensors. The control device is configured to determine the unique number of each dose. The control device comprises one or more sensors configured to read non-numeric indication characters that are configured to encode an individual unique number corresponding to each dose in a blister pack in the inhaler, a processor and a memory device configured to process and/or store information read by the sensors. The control device is configured to determine the unique number of each dose.
EFFECT: possibility of showing how many doses were consumed during the period when the control device was disconnected.
