FIELD: exhaust gas treatment.
SUBSTANCE: adjustable device for afterburning the fuel mixture contains a body in form of a two-piece cylindrical pipe with different cross-sectional diameters of the inlet and outlet parts. A flow swirler is installed in the inlet opening of the housing, consisting of n deflecting vanes located at an angle to the central longitudinal axis of the housing. The main diaphragm in the of a plate is placed inside the housing in the cross section of its diameter change. Inside the body closer to its outlet relative to the main diaphragm in a plane perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the body, there is an additional diaphragm, which is a lateral surface of a truncated cone. A straightening grid is installed in the outlet opening of the housing. The main and additional diaphragms are installed in the housing with the ability to move along the central longitudinal axis of the housing, the number n of the deflecting vanes is from 8 to 12, and the angle of their location relative to the central longitudinal axis of the housing is in the range from 26 to 47°.
EFFECT: increase in completeness of fuel combustion and a decrease in harmful emissions are achieved while maintaining the characteristics of the engine's efficiency.
