FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, namely to silencers of exhaust gases of ICE and to separators of gas mixtures into their components. A silencer-separator of exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine contains inlet and outlet pipes, a cylindrical case, inside which the central pipe is coaxially located. A multi-blade swirler of the exhaust gas flow in the form of a hub with blades mounted on it is installed between the cylindrical case and the central pipe. An angle of inclination of swirler blades to the plane perpendicular to the axis of the silencer gradually decreases from 50-80 degrees at the beginning of the swirler to 7-15 degrees at the end. The central pipe is attached to the hub of the swirler. Outer and inner diameters of the central pipe are equal to corresponding diameters of the hub of the multi-blade swirler. The central pipe is additionally attached to the cylindrical case by a split ring, the plane of which is located at an angle of 7-10 degrees to the plane perpendicular to the axis of the silencer, and an additional flow swirler is installed at the end of the central pipe.

EFFECT: when implementing the proposed invention, effective noise reduction and fire hazard reduction are provided.
